Mike Meier is a Planner with BCLA. Mike received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Anthropology and Linguistics from New York University. After graduating, Mike worked as Director of Analytics for a technology company in the online media industry, developing research and reporting tools and methodologies for global media and advertising companies. Mike served on the City of Stuart, Florida Community Redevelopment Board before being elected to the Stuart City Commission in 2018. Mike served two terms through 2022 and was honored to serve as Mayor in 2020. Having also served as Chairman of the Treasure Coast Council of Local Governments and First Vice President of the Treasure Coast Regional League of Cities, Mike took on the role of lead regional legislative advocate and was honored as Home Rule Hero by the Florida League of Cities each year 2019-2022. At BCLA, Mike specializes in legislative impacts on community planning as well as environmental, sustainability, and climate concerns. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, hiking, and outdoor adventures with his young daughter.
